Offers of Gratitude and Thanks

I heard of Amanita Muscaria through a woman named Amanita Dreamer when she shared her story, research, and experience on the podcast Adventures through the Mind with James Jesso.

Amanita Dreamer’s courage and experience illuminated my pathway forward. I hold a great deal of gratitude in my heart for her journey and dedication. She continues to forge pathways, research, and offer guidance about Amanita. She has dedicated her life to creating awareness around this mushroom.

I offer gratitude to David Sama, who has been my Amanita Muscaria mentor and coach. David is a contemporary shaman, wizard, and healer based out of San Francisco. He continues to mentor and supervise my offerings as I evolve along this medicine path.

LAND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

I acknowledge the land I live on as unceded lands in Santa Fe, New Mexico …originally and rightfully named Oga Po’geh (White Shell, Water Place), the indigenous name of these lands before they were colonized. I recognize that Santa Fe is located on unceded/stolen ancestral territorial lands of the Tewa peoples who respectfully still live on and tend to these lands with deep relationship to the animal, bird, and plant kingdoms.

Warrior Women Project

“The Peabody-nominated documentary feature Warrior Women tells the story of the activist Madonna Thunder Hawk, one of the founders of the American Indian Movement (AIM), which fights for Native liberation and rights, including alternatives to government-run education and environmental devastation (see: the Dakota Access Pipeline). The film is part of a larger initiative, the Warrior Women Project, which provides a forum for Indigenous activists to tell their stories for the benefit of future generations. Some of the organization’s projects, beside the film, include The Warrior Women Oral History Project, The Warrior Women Decolonization Project and The Water Protectors Community.”
